Silicone emulsions are a water-dilutable emulsion of Polymethyl siloxane fluids. These silicone emulsions are chemically inert, non-toxic, non-flammable and non-hazardous. They possess low surface tension and superior wetting properties. These silicone emulsions are particularly suited for mold release applications during rubber molding and metal casting because they form films of low adhesion and therefore be applied to molds to prevent adhesion of the molded articles.
